VA community care lets eligible Veterans receive care from a provider in their local community, paid for by the VA, when the VA can't readily provide the care they need. It is authorized under the VA MISSION Act.
You may qualify for VA community care if the service you need isn't available at your VA facility, if you'd face a long wait or a long drive for VA care, or if your VA care team agrees it's in your best medical interest.
